How to play the G 7(alt)/G# chord

  1. Play G# as the lowest bass note in the left hand
  2. Find G (Root) on the piano keyboard
  3. Add B (Major third) — 4 semitones above G
  4. Add D# (Minor sixth) — 8 semitones above G
  5. Add F (Minor seventh) — 10 semitones above G
  6. Add A# (Minor tenth) — 15 semitones above G
  7. Press all 6 notes simultaneously to sound the G 7(alt)/G# chord
