  2. Play E (Minor second) — 1 semitone above D#
  3. Play F# (Minor third) — 3 semitones above D#
  4. Play G# (Perfect fourth) — 5 semitones above D#
  5. Play A# (Perfect fifth) — 7 semitones above D#
  6. Play B (Minor sixth) — 8 semitones above D#
  7. Play C# (Minor seventh) — 10 semitones above D#
  8. Play all 7 notes in ascending order to perform the D# phrygian mode
