How to play the G lydian mode

  1. Find G (Root) on the piano keyboard
  2. Play A (Major second) — 2 semitones above G
  3. Play B (Major third) — 4 semitones above G
  4. Play C# (Diminished fifth) — 6 semitones above G
  5. Play D (Perfect fifth) — 7 semitones above G
  6. Play E (Major sixth) — 9 semitones above G
  7. Play F# (Major seventh) — 11 semitones above G
  8. Play all 7 notes in ascending order to perform the G lydian mode
