The F locrian mode consists of the F (Perfect unison), Gb (Minor second), Ab (Minor third), Bb (Perfect fourth), Cb (Diminished fifth), Db (Minor sixth) and Eb (Minor seventh) notes.
How to play the F locrian mode
- Find F (Root) on the piano keyboard
- Play Gb (Minor second) — 1 semitone above F
- Play Ab (Minor third) — 3 semitones above F
- Play Bb (Perfect fourth) — 5 semitones above F
- Play Cb (Diminished fifth) — 6 semitones above F
- Play Db (Minor sixth) — 8 semitones above F
- Play Eb (Minor seventh) — 10 semitones above F
- Play all 7 notes in ascending order to perform the F locrian mode
