The F locrian mode consists of the F (Perfect unison), F# (Minor second), G# (Minor third), A# (Perfect fourth), B (Diminished fifth), C# (Minor sixth) and D# (Minor seventh) notes.

How to play the F locrian mode

  1. Find F (Root) on the piano keyboard
  2. Play F# (Minor second) — 1 semitone above F
  3. Play G# (Minor third) — 3 semitones above F
  4. Play A# (Perfect fourth) — 5 semitones above F
  5. Play B (Diminished fifth) — 6 semitones above F
  6. Play C# (Minor sixth) — 8 semitones above F
  7. Play D# (Minor seventh) — 10 semitones above F
  8. Play all 7 notes in ascending order to perform the F locrian mode
