The G# lydian mode consists of the G# (Perfect unison), A# (Major second), C (Major third), D (Diminished fifth), D# (Perfect fifth), F (Major sixth) and G (Major seventh) notes.

How to play the G# lydian mode

  1. Find G# (Root) on the piano keyboard
  2. Play A# (Major second) — 2 semitones above G#
  3. Play C (Major third) — 4 semitones above G#
  4. Play D (Diminished fifth) — 6 semitones above G#
  5. Play D# (Perfect fifth) — 7 semitones above G#
  6. Play F (Major sixth) — 9 semitones above G#
  7. Play G (Major seventh) — 11 semitones above G#
  8. Play all 7 notes in ascending order to perform the G# lydian mode
